Support in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD)
Non-Communicable diseases are the major concern in India at the present
time which need to be monitored and addressed. TRIF is supporting NHM in
collaboration with three governments of Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and
Goa.

Scale Prevention of Cervical Cancer -Vaccination of Girls aged
10/11 years old in Jharkhand for two doses of HPV Vaccine
TRIF shared the vision of cervical cancer-free India through a letter of recommendation shared with the
Managing Director, NHM along with the concerned Nodal Officers.
Pilot for vaccinating 4000 eligible girls has been shared with the Maternal Health Cell. Detailed planning
with the Maternal Health Cell, NCD Cell, and Routine Immunization Cell is in process.
In Madhya Pradesh, letter for installing the 'NCD Booth" at District Hospital, Bhopal and Community
Health Centre, Budni, District Sehore issued by Deputy Director, NCD on 22nd Feb 2022. The Booth will be
used for opportunistic screening of 30 years plus population for NCDs – Hypertension, Diabetes and three
common cancers (Breast, Cervical and Oral).The activity of procurement of NCD Booth has been
completed by TRIF.

14 health facilities have been selected for strengthening them as Model NCD Clinics in the pilot districts of
Ranchi and East Singhbhum.
Regular meetings and conversations held with the concerned deparments regarding the programmatic
orientation, selection of facilities, and planning for program implementation to scale it in future.
