                                                                          Triggering A “Back to School” Movement
                                                                          Of the 7000 children enrolled in our adopted
                                                                          schools, several have become role models,
                                                                          triggering a “Back to School” movement around

                                                                          families of students hailing from underprivileged
                                                                          backgrounds by providing learning aids such as
                                                                          stationery, notebooks, school bags, uniforms etc.
                                                                          Students, especially adolescent girls, are also given
                                                                          access to health check-ups and hygiene training.
                                                                          Construction of separate toilet blocks for girls and
                                                                          boys in government schools, played a key role in
                                                                          encouraging parents to send girls to school. A
                                                                          significant increase in enrolment, with number of
                                                                          girls at 53% exceeding the number of boys, is a
                                                                          very encouraging sign.
