Tuya and the talking grass
The story of Tuya (A Mongolian girl) is the extension of 'The single tree' written by author Kenneth Youngstein. Tuya, a little girl who is rejected by her friends due to her impaired vision, spares her time talking to grass where she can hear the chirping sound of grasshoppers.

Caps & Shells was given a task to make it a storytelling video in Mongolian language to create awareness about the prevention of blindness and treatment of eye diseases and encourage the schools in Mongolia.

The Singing Tree
The story of The Singing Tree is inspired by the author Kenneth Youngstein’s personal experiences as a child. The book talks about a little girl who cannot see the birds due to impaired vision and assumes that the beautiful songs she heard were sung by the tree under which she spent her time. The book also touches upon the feelings of isolation and rejection that a child with impaired vision, or any disability, may experience. It ends on a positive note where, with a simple pair of spectacles, the girl’s vision is improved, and things that held her apart are no longer a barrier to a full life.

The objective of the film was to create awareness about the prevention of blindness and treatment of eye diseases and encouraging the schools. Caps & Shells was associated, to make it a story telling video for better engagement and understanding.

Inspired with thoughts of Dr KK Birla, Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals has been significantly contributing in Urea Production and helping India to be Atma Nirbhar Bharat. Their state-of-the art technology from across the globe, responsible governance and their sustainable footprints has helped Chambal to position themselves as a leader in the private sector.

Caps & Shells was assigned to develop a corporate film. Strategizing with the right message, our team worked on the script, shoot in Rajasthan and Gujarat to produce the film.

Through this film, we showcased how the brand is not just rooted in its belief of making the nation food sufficient, lives of farmers and its stakeholders better and firmly rooted in its values and mission. Embracing change and newer technologies yet staying rooted to create a difference. From showcasing its product range, factories, plants, work force, key personnel, achievements and reach, the film showcased the brand on the formidable path to growth. A path that the brand has chosen to walk together with everyone it cares for.

Virtual Flying Eye Hospital
Orbis is an international nonprofit organization that has been transforming lives through the prevention and treatment of blindness for nearly four decades. Orbis is well known for its "Flying Eye Hospital," an ophthalmic hospital and teaching facility located on board a DC-10 aircraft. The Flying Eye Hospital brings training to doctors and nurses in developing countries with little access to professional development and training.

In Nov - Dec 2020, Orbis in partnership with Boeing India, conducted a Virtual Flying Eye Hospital - a remote learning program in India through its telemedicine platform - Cybersight.

Caps & Shells with the help of Orbis partner hospitals and Orbis communication team reached out to the participants, volunteer faculty from different parts of India and globe to make the successful case study. Caps & Shells conceptualized, and developed the film with a very limited shoot.

KARWAAN SWACC HAWA KA
North India suffers poor air quality during winters due to Crop residue burning in Punjab & Haryana. Under 'Cleaner Air Better Life' campaign - CII along with industry partners including - Royal Enfield, ONGC, Bharat Petroleum is helping farmers in adaptation of new technologies and spreading awareness.

Partnering CII Foundation in its project, Caps & Shells took this opportunity to uplift the spirit through effective communication and decided to create a campaign 'Karwaan Swacch Hawa ka' to involve more farmers & stakeholders from the community. Caps & Shells team interacted with farmers, NGOs, Panchayats, local administrative to capture the impacts to develop the film. This involved our continuous visits to Punjab & Haryana districts. For the film, a anthem was written and composed in Regional Language.

WOMAN EXEMPLAR PROGRAM
Since 2005, CII Foundation through its flagship program - Woman Exemplar Program promotes women’s empowerment at the community level recognizing and supporting those who have, against all odds, excelled and contributed significantly. The Award is conferred on women working at the grassroots in the fields of Education, Health and Micro Enterprise.

In 2018, Caps & Shells was given a task to make a film on the process / methodology of the complete program. After various discussions with client, it was decided to communicate the message through these exemplars and CII team / selection committee and mentors who were involved in this journey.

Our team worked on the styling, treatment and dialogues while the process & women’s experience was interviewed at the spot. The film was shot for 2 days at conference room of client.

WATSCAN
Marathwada region in Maharashtra suffered from one of the worst droughts in recent times and water became scarce commodity and farmers were forced to sell their land and leave. Science, community and industry came together to manage the water resources in smart, equitable and sustainable way. CII-Triveni Water Institute through its innovative digital tool 'WATSCAN' identified the areas and developed water management strategies to address water crisis. The film was shot in Pethankheda district of Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Caps & Shells produced the film after engaging with experts, local community and farmers.

CROP RESIDUE MANAGEMENT
In 2018, CII Foundation through its pilot project on Management of Crop Residue Management, worked in two districts of Punjab - Patiala and Ludhiana. To capture the impact of first year, a film was required. After studying the inputs shared by client, we decided to visit and meet the beneficiaries. After various interactions, field visits, training programs, meeting district administrations, Caps & Shells converted this into a story using some of good footage shot during our visits.

CAP 2.0
CAP 2.0 - Climate Action Program was launched with an objective to recognize and drive corporate action on climate change to keep the temperature rise below 2 degree. The objective of the film was to aware businesses about the climate threats due to temperature rise, and CAP 2.0 methodology. Caps & Shells developed the film using footage of climate disasters in the initial part and developed a unique illustration style for smooth transition to the second part of the film.

India business & Disability Network is a platform to promote and facilitate inclusion of PwDs at work. IBDN Centre hired Caps & shells to design the brand identity and to develop a launch film. Caps & Shells designers & animators together developed a unique style of illustrations and color scheme and animation style to make the film impactful.

SIGNCATCH
SignCatch provides smart payment solution and convenient way to pay bills at outlets. Not much of marketing collaterals, Caps & Shells was called to develop a marketing material to pitch the investors and retailers. The solution enables the consumer with convenience and time saving.
We and client, both were clear that there was nothing better than a film. Since the TG was youth with high aspiration value, we created a story of three young friends. The film was shot in Noida.

SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS
CII-ITC Sustainability Awards is India's most sustainable award, and it has become symbol of credibility and pride for companies. Every year Caps & Shells is hired to design visual theme of Awards. In 2017 Caps and shells designed the visual theme by using particles to form the award identity. Celebrating the businesses that are seeking ways to be more sustainable and inclusive in their actions, was symbolically represented through unique visuals. The visuals were included in brochure, digital communication and finally in film. Our team decided to compose a fusion music through Indian instruments to uplift the spirit and stature of the award.

OPEN DEFECATION FREE
Under Swaccha Bharat Drive, CII Foundation worked with NGO and implementing agency in Delhi slum areas to make the area open defecation free. Awareness drives, Nukkad Nataks, Nigrani Committee, facilitation of toilet constructions at home, CII proactively worked in these areas in 2018.

Caps & Shells was appointed to develop a successful case study based film. Our team went to these areas, interacting with community and local agency to understand the behavioral change. Our team with help of community recreated training programs and awareness drives, which could help us getting the good shots to make an impactful outcome.

FACE along with FSSAI wanted to educate consumers about the right use of Nutraceuticals and health supplements for the good nutrition. Caps & Shells created an animation based film, using son and father's simple conversation . The film was intentionally kept simple and basic to convey the message, effectively.

AUTO EXPO
Auto Expo - Asia's largest motor & component show is organized by ACMA, SIAM and CII. Caps & Shells were given the task to capture the show from the first day, interviewing international delegates, exhibitors, business visitors. After brief discussions, our team independently handled the entire project which included getting schedules of exhibitors for product launch, arranging appointments with Exhibitors for interviews, meeting with VIP delegations, and appropriate interviewing.

A FILM ON PWDS
A film about breaking the myth that hiring PwDs can be a burden. There are companies who set an example in inclusion of PwDs at workplace. Companies who have been doing good practices and have benefitted through specially abled persons. What we got from client was pre-recorded videos of companies representatives. Caps & Shells used these videos to form a script and took out important parts of their interview to form an inclusive message.
